So three games of the first round of the playoffs is in the bag. Roedovre Mighty Bulls is down 2-1, after getting the first win Sunday. Tonight game 4 is on and I’ll be traveling to Frederikshavn to cover the game. Hopefully Roedovre will take game 4 to equal the standings instead of being down [...]
The local hockey team secured the Regular Season Championship, which means a lot less road games as they’ll have the home team advantage throughout the playoffs all the way to the final - if they make it that far. They should though. At least the semi finals anyway.
After a long regular season I can’t explain [...]
If you follow hockey or sports in general you should have heard of at least one nasty blood spill this past weekend, where Richard Zednik of the Florida Panthers got hit in the neck by a skate cutting his artery, leaving a massive trail of blood after him on the way to the box.
The day [...]
Yes yes I know I should probably change the name of the blog to “hockey picture blog” or something. I haven’t really shot anything exciting other than hockey, so here’s another selection of shots. This is from Sunday’s game.

It doesn’t happen too often, I get something extraordinary at a hockey game. There are always decent shots but nothing exiting. For the second game in a row I covered I got something with great action in it.

A apologize to the few who actually visit this blog, for lack of updates. Work has been shit busy lately. I haven’t forgotten you but I’ve had my hands full of other things. Here’s eight photos of recent assignments without much explanation. No explanation actually.

That’s about the words that was said to me Friday night when I wanted to shoot some photos during a fight between two fan groups during the Danish Ice Hockey Cup final (not the championship game).
A scrum broke out during the second intermission. A group of fans from Roedovre (the team I covered) was standing [...]
I’m currently in Russia covering the Ice Hockey World Championships. Last night was the opening game between the host nation Russia and Denmark.Denmark got slaughtered 9-1 in a pretty one sided game, but it was kind of expected.Denmarks Frans Nielsen (white #51) checks Sergey Zinoviev during the first period of the game between Russia and [...]
So once again I thought the hockey shooting was done for the year. Tuesday I got an offer to go to Sweden to shoot some junior hockey where three danes are playing, so of course I gladly accepted the invitation. Junior hockey is so intense and these kids are throwing some really great bodychecks and [...]
The local hockey club’s women’s team made it to the championship game so I had one more last hockey outing this season. Here’s a couple of shots from today’s game.Canon EOS-1D Mark II n, EF 70-200mm f/2.8L USM @ f/2.8 1/500sec, ISO1250 (Photo: Brian Poulsen).Canon EOS-1D Mark II n, EF 300mm f/2.8L IS USM @ [...]
